Fatah al-Islam Leadership : Abu al-Hassan - Communications Adviser

In a March 2007 interview with the New York Times, Fatah al-Islam founder Shaker al-Abssi a/k/a Shaker al-Absi disclosed that he now a communications adviser, Abu al-Hassan, 24.

al-Hassan is a journalism student who reportedly dropped out of college to join Fatah al Islam. His current project, the Times reported: a newsmagazine aimed at attracting recruits.

Abu al-Hassan is reportedly based in the Nahr al-Bared Palestinian refugee camp outside Tripoli, Lebanon.
