Fatah al-Islam Leadership : Nasser Ismail

Nasser Ismail Fatah al-Islam senior commanderNasser Ismail is a senior military commander of the Fatah al-Islam terrorist group.

According to Lebanese security sources, Ismail reportedly fled from Nahr el-Bared, the United Nations run Palestinian camp north of Tripoli that Fatah al-Islam used as a terrorist base and training camp.

Ismail, a Palestinian, is said to have run away from Nahr el-Bared before Fatah al-Islam was ousted by the Lebanese Army. Despite the terrorist group's ongoing statements of bravado, officials maintained that that he was afraid he would be caught by Lebanse forces, and fled in fear.

Attempting to hide in wooded Lebanese forests for a month, Ismail was finally captured inside the Beddawi camp after trying to hide inside the attic of relative with another Fatah al-Islam fugitive. That was the story from Abu Ali Fares, a Palestinian figure inside the Beddawi camp.
